At the Gartner Data & Analytics event in London earlier this year, I caught up with Tom Pollock, Head of Information Management at Northern Gas Networks.
He was kind enough to give me a quick three-minute demo of how the company has been using the SAP Digital Boardroom (internally rebranded as the “Digital Operations Room”) to gather and communicate new insights about their business.
Tom showed how the three screens provide real time access to key KPIs, but also allow managers to drill into areas of interest with context-sensitive information and maps. It provides what they call “3D” or “4D” reporting — what happened in the past, what’s happening now, and what’s going to happen in the future.
As I’ve written about before, executives have been waiting for this type of technology for about seventy years — and now it’s finally here. Seeing is believing! Check out the demo below, and get more information on SAP Digital Boardroom, based on SAP BusinessObjects Cloud.
